Departure delayed!
Phone call the day before Christmas Eve from travel agent – Cathay Pacific have cancelled my flights! No longer flying into Perth! Hugely disappointed and frustrated – what a lousy Christmas present. And no flights available for another 4 weeks. But have booked new flights with Emirates, via Dubai, leaving UK 23 January, due to arrive Perth 24 January. On the up-side, the business class fare was more expensive than first class! So get to travel in style, including limousine to collect me and take me to Gatwick airport. Have changed my G2G pass on-line, travel insurance documentation updated, seats reserved (1A – how good does that sound 😁). So now just have to avoid the Omicron Covid variant for another few weeks, book a pre-departure PCR test, and think about packing.
