Leigh Gray, DVM

Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Dermatology

Dr. Leigh Gray graduated magna cum laude from Clemson University with a B.S. degree. She received her veterinary degree with honors from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. After a one-year rotating specialty internship at Wheatridge Animal Hospital in Denver Colorado, Dr. Gray completed a 3-year residency and master’s in veterinary dermatology at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She gained Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) in 2013.

As a board certified veterinary dermatologist, Dr. Gray has practiced dermatology specialty medicine in West Palm Beach Florida and Denver Colorado before moving to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2019 to join Southeast Veterinary Dermatology. 

Dr. Gray has published research in leading veterinary medicine publications, including her thesis focusing on therapeutic drug interactions found in commonly used medications in the field of dermatology. She enjoys teaching and often lectures at continuing education programs for veterinarians. Dr. Gray’s clinical interests are varied and include treatment of chronic ear disease, autoimmune skin disease, and challenging allergy cases. 

Dr. Gray is passionately committed to the human-animal bond and making sure that chronic dermatologic disease does not interfere with that special connection.
