Veterinary Dermatology Intern

Veterinary Dermatology Intern

Dr. Jensen was born and raised in Minnesota, where her love for animals led her to pursue a degree in Animal Science at the University of Minnesota. During her undergraduate studies, she had the opportunity to study abroad in Australia—an experience that inspired her to explore veterinary programs overseas. She was accepted into the prestigious University of Edinburgh in Scotland, where she earned her veterinary degree in 2012.

Following graduation, Dr. Jensen completed a one-year rotating internship at a specialty and emergency hospital in Glasgow, gaining additional hands-on training in advanced veterinary care. She later returned to the U.S. and spent several years in general practice in California and Hawaii, where she developed a deep interest in dermatology. Although it was very difficult to leave her clients, patients, and friends in Honolulu, her passion for dermatology ultimately brought her to Marietta, Georgia to train through the specialty internship at Animal Dermatology Clinic.

Dr. Jensen is certified in both Low Stress Handling (Silver Certification) and Fear Free practice, emphasizing her commitment to providing gentle, compassionate care. She has a special interest in managing allergies, ear disease, and chronic dermatologic conditions—always with a focus on building trusting, long-term relationships with her clients and their pets.
