Jackie Watson, DVM

Dr. Jackie Watson is originally from Newtown, PA. She attended James Madison University (Harrisonburg, VA) for her undergraduate studies, receiving her BS degree in Biology/Pre-Veterinary Concentration in 2004. She went on to receive her DVM degree from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine (Saint Paul, MN) in 2008.

After earning her veterinary medicine degree, Dr. Watson completed a one-year rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, NJ before being accepted into the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) 3-year residency program at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Watson attained diplomate status with the ACVD in 2013.

As a board certified veterinary dermatologist, Dr. Watson has practiced in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and, most recently, South Carolina. She lectures and teaches widely in the US and has published extensively in veterinary medical journals on topics related to veterinary dermatology.

Dr. Watson joined Animal Dermatology Clinic – Greenville (SC) in 2022. Her clinical interests include allergic skin disease, autoimmune skin disease, and feline dermatologic conditions.

Fun Facts:

Dr. Watson resides in Columbia, SC where she lives with her husband, also a veterinarian, son, dog Chorizo, cat Owlette Sabine and snake Capri. Outside of work, Dr. Watson enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and traveling.
