Brian Scott, DVM

Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Dermatology

Dr. Brian Scott spent time growing up in North Carolina, Florida and Wisconsin. He completed his undergraduate degree at Auburn University and receive his DVM from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Dr. Scott practiced veterinary medicine for more than 20 years as the highly-successful owner-operator of an AAHA-accredited companion animal practice in Lake Mary, Florida, before pursuing his true passion – the clinical practice of veterinary dermatology. 

Dr. Scott pursued his residency with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) at McKeever Dermatology Clinic in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and achieved diplomate status with the ACVD in 2011. As a board certified veterinary dermatologist, he has practiced in Texas and, most recently, Florida. Dr. Scott lectures extensively and consults on cases throughout the US and internationally. He regularly volunteers to support military working dogs and donates his time to practice at LTC Daniel E. Holland Military Working Dog Hospital on Lackland Airforce Base in San Antonio, Texas, the US Department of Defense’s premier veterinary hospital supporting all military working dogs globally. 

Dr. Scott enjoys teaching, interacting with veterinarians and technicians, and sharing his love of veterinary dermatology. He is also a frequent contributor of continuing education content to leading industry partners in veterinary dermatology, including Zoetis, Ceva and Dechra.

Fun Facts:

Dr. Scott and his wife, Nancy, have been married for 40 years and they are very grateful to have their two sons nearby in Central Florida. He enjoys golf, snow skiing and time with his grandchildren.
