Momo's Pemphigus Journey

Adult, male mix-breed dog, Momo, gets treatment for pemphigus foliaceus.Before:

Momo presented with severe crusting and hair loss on his head, face, legs and trunk. After skin cytology and skin biopsy he was diagnosed with pemphigus foliaceus, an autoimmune disease characterized by redness, crusting, blisters or pustules on the skin and hair loss. Dogs with pemphigus may also have intermittent fever.

Nearly a year later, Momo is doing well. Treatment for pemphigus foliaceus often requires a combination of medications to get the disease into remission and then continued medications longer term to maintain.
