Christie Yamazaki, DVM

Dr. Christie Yamazaki recieved her bachelor's degree from the University of California, San Diego in 2007. Entering the veterinary profession as a receptionist at a multi-specialty veterinary hospital, she eventually became a technician in their dermatology department. After working in this position for a few years she sought to become a dermatologist herself.

Dr. Yamazaki graduated in 2014 from the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island (Canada) with her Doctor in Veterinary Medicine. She returned to San Diego and completed a rotating internship at VCA Emergency Animal Hospital and Referral Center, followed by a dermatology specialty internship at Veterinary Specialty Hospital. She then eagerly accepted a joint residency position with Animal Dermatology Clinic - Tustin and Ontario in 2016. Dr. Yamazaki obtained Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) in November 2019.

In 2019 she became one of the first Fear Free Certified practitioners in Tustin, California and continues to explore techniques to make her patients’ visits to the clinic more comfortable. Dr. Yamazaki relocated to the Atlanta, GA area and currently practice in Animal Dermatology Clinic – Marietta.

Fun Facts:

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Yamazaki enjoys yoga, reading food blogs, volunteering as an active member of the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta, and exploring farmer's markets with her husband, daughter and two chihuahuas. In September 2020, her family relocated from San Diego, California to Georgia and she is excited to explore the southeast!
