Deborah Powell

Regional Operations Manager

Deborah Powell joined Animal Dermatology Clinic in April 2001 as the Practice Manager of our Marina del Rey, CA location. She was a great fit with our group due to her long track of experience in the veterinary field. Her first experience working in the veterinary field was in an Avian and Exotic Clinic. For the next six years, she worked in general veterinary medicine and then changed position to work in an emergency clinic for two years.

Deborah's career suddenly changed gears when she became a substitute teacher, which she did for eighteen months. Discovering that she missed working in the veterinary field, Deborah chose to accept a position with Animal Dermatology Clinic where she thrives with all the new challenges of working in a specialty practice. Deborah now has company-wide responsiblity for payroll, employee benefits and inventory.

Deborah further rounds out her experience in the animal field with a B.S. degree in Animal Science from California Polytechnic University, Pomona. Her hobbies include hiking, biking, kayaking, and spending time with her husband, Rick & their Yorkie, Dexter.
